Transparency was the whole point in 2018. A short note on third-party testing.
When Boost launched, the nootropics aisle was full of confident labels and quiet paperwork. Proprietary blends listed seven ingredients and disclosed none of the milligrams that mattered. “Clinically studied” often meant a study on a different dose, in a different formula, paid for by someone else. Marcus had spent years defending training plans to clients. He refused to sell a bottle he could not defend the same way.
So we made a rule before we made a logo: publish the lot certificate of analysis, or do not sell the bottle. A COA is not a vibes document. It is a third-party lab report tied to a specific manufacturing lot — identity of the material, purity checks, and confirmation that what is on the label shows up in the capsule. We keep those sheets on file and share them when customers ask. Support@boostnootropics.com still gets that email every week. We still answer it.
Third-party testing does not mean “FDA approved.” Dietary supplements are not drugs, and we will not blur that line. Testing means an independent lab looked at the lot. cGMP partner facilities mean the plant follows current Good Manufacturing Practice standards for supplements. Ethically sourced supply means we prefer documented chains and standardized extracts over mystery powders. None of that replaces your own judgment — or a conversation with a healthcare professional when you need one.
Why keep publishing COAs years later, when plenty of brands get away with a trust badge and a stock photo? Because the customers who care are exactly the customers we want. Athletes. Desk workers who read labels. People who got burned by a proprietary blend that felt like nothing. If transparency costs us a few impulse buys from shoppers who never open the PDF, that is fine. We are not optimizing for the impulse aisle.
What a COA will not tell you: that a product will change your life, fix a diagnosis, or outperform eight hours of sleep. What it will tell you: this lot was checked, and the numbers match the panel within the lab’s methods. That is a narrower promise. It is also an honest one.
How to use ours. Find the lot number on your bottle. Email support with the product name and lot. We send the matching report. If you are shopping before you buy, ask for the current lot — we would rather you see it first. The same policy covers Focus Caps, Sleep Stack, Ashwagandha KSM-66, and everything else on the shelf.
We still ship from Austin. We still keep labels modest. We still treat a missing COA as a reason to hold a lot, not a reason to rewrite the marketing page. Transparency was the whole point in 2018. It still is.
